About the Job
The HR Associate will support day-to-day HR and coordination activities, including recruitment, pre-onboarding, offboarding, team communication, and record management. This remote and flexible unpaid internship/volunteer role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals at the beginning of their HR or nonprofit career to gain hands-on experience and grow professionally.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
Promote the organization’s mission to attract passionate candidates and build a strong employer brand.
Ensure a positive candidate experience with clear communication and timely follow-ups.
Support diversity and inclusion efforts by prioritizing equitable hiring practices.
Maintain organized records of candidates and recruitment activities.
Develop creative, low-cost recruitment strategies to align with the organization’s budget.
Build relationships with local communities and partners to expand talent pipelines.
Collaborate with leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.

Requirements
Candidates demonstrate:
• Academic background in human resources, communications, business administration, management, economics, or related fields or
• Experience with NGOs, political organisations, civic initiatives, or social movements
Additional qualities:
• Strong organisational and coordination skills
• Ability to work in an international remote team
• Interest in progressive political cooperation
